Complaints Procedure
We aim to provide a helpful, honest service. If something has gone wrong, we want to put it right. This page explains how to complain to HireABarrister Ltd about the FindABarrister.co.uk service and how we will respond.
How to make a complaint
Please email us at info@hireabarrister.com, or write to us at Maddox And Co, 34-35 Butcher Row, Shrewsbury, SY1 1UW. Tell us your name and contact details, what happened, and what you would like us to do to put it right.
How we handle it
- We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days.
- We will investigate and aim to give you a full written response within 21 working days. If we need more time, we will let you know and explain why.
Complaints about a Barrister
HireABarrister Ltd is a comparison and clerking service, not a Barristers’ Chambers. If your complaint is about the conduct or advice of a Barrister you instructed, you should first raise it with that Barrister or their Chambers. You may also contact the Legal Ombudsman or the Bar Standards Board, which regulates Barristers in England and Wales.
Data protection complaints
If your complaint concerns how we have handled your personal data and you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
