Our service
HireABarrister Ltd is a comparison and clerking service. We help members of the public find Direct Access Barristers through our partner network. We are not a Barristers’ Chambers and not a firm of solicitors, and we do not provide Legal Aid.
No legal advice
Information on this site is general and does not constitute legal advice. Legal services and advice are provided directly by the Barrister you choose to instruct, who is regulated by the Bar Standards Board.
Quotes and fees
Where we say we will work to beat an existing quote, we mean we will compare it against suitable Direct Access Barrister options and tell you honestly if we cannot. Fixed fees are agreed and confirmed in writing before any work begins. There is no payment until you choose to instruct a Barrister.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information and to use the site lawfully. You are responsible for deciding whether and whom to instruct.
Liability
We provide the site and our introduction service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts, omissions or advice of any Barrister you instruct, or for any loss arising from your reliance on general information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Intellectual property
The content and branding on this site belong to HireABarrister Ltd or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
Privacy
Our use of your personal data is described in our privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
